Painted with my intuos 4 today and this is my first 1h speedpaint with it. A demon Smith. More paintings to come. Till sunday.
Hey :) Here the process of the painting. first the sketch, then basic mood, then slowly indicating light and shade, and then just back and forth adding details and setting the lights. Now, why did I think I have made a major breakthrough? Well that is because, I let go of my doubts. I mean I know I'm still not as good as I could be but it is definitively getting there. Last Friday I was at gamescom. It was amazing, a lot of fun and i got so many new impressions. It is so good to see the aftermath of what you will be creating some day and especially to meet the audience. Well I started the day pretty early at 7am to go there and I left at 7.30pm. After I came back I could barely move from the howl walking but I was so enthusiastic that I sat down and started sketching, right after I made some black tea and drank two cups. The energy I suddenly had was a miracle to me, I just wanted to paint and it all worked. I was never before that organised while working on a piece and the story i
Yes so there it is 1/4 of the way. I'll now use this occasion to reflect on the past 200 days. I started out with these goals: 1# To Create a stunning diploma, that I can be proud of and that could be sold with good consciousness. (The Work within that diploma is supposed to be my portfolio). 2# To become super healthy and super fit. Which means that during these 800 days I want to do sports almost every day even if it is just 15 minutes of crunches and push-ups(weekends excluded). And to lose 25lbs for good, doing so. 3# To get a lot more organized and to work with more discipline. Looking back to the start I can't help but wonder what keeps changing my spirit. The answer is easy, its myself. Those are some strange revelations. The design Academy's workload is going insane on me. And I really hate some of these assignments, denying it is futile. Getting it done wasn't quite as easy as i'd hoped 200 days ago, infact some of those assignments are still going on. My
So guys. One year has passed and I decided i wanted to make a review of what happened during that time. I'll devide it in 3 Steps, which i think will show my progress. And after that I'll show some Brand new stuff I've been working on.(Diploma Work excluded) __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ So this is it for the paintings that lead up to what i'm doing now. Those were mostly studies but hopefully there is some Progress to be seen. Now here are some of the more recent sketches/studies I have to say they felt somewhat easy and fun compared to the Paintings I've done half a year back, yet they are still some little fun things I did on the side. study from photo In this progression I think you might see some evolution and how my technique is evolving, but as always, I'm never quite satisfied with the things that I've got.
