Killing bad habits day#12

Hope Ya'll having a nice Sunday! Today I needed to take a break from the anatomy and Gestures. I wanted to know how far I could go with a finishing in a short amount of time. The piece below took four and a half hours and no references have been used. Time for each step in each description. I like how this came along despite some issues I wont go into right now. It served it's purpose, it was fun, it was relatively mindless and relaxing and I practiced something. Have a nice Sunday guys! Cheers! 90 minutes 200 minutes in between step to the last one 270 mins

I don't know about today. Was an unpleasant day all in all (Personal). But I stay cheerful and as upbeat as possible! Optimism ftw! :) Nough said. Cheers comparing Loomis to Robert Beverly Hale 20 min with interruptions 5 min poses 1min poses Was to distracted and to tense to keep drawing. Tomorrow is a new day. I'll tackle stuff then.

A Lot of fun stuff Today. I think I learned a lot, although I had a rough start with those longer gestures again... Took some notes to keep reminding myself how to approach these, but pretty quickly my bad habits prevailed. Applying my anatomy knowledge to these Proportion studies was also a good exercise. It definitely showed that I'll need to work on my legs and to check out those Serati and Obligue muscles around the thorax again. Funny thing is that doing the arm-anatomy studies seems to have given me some understanding/feel for the legs also. Any critque / comments always welcome! Cheers Guys! Hey there, today I feel like I'm getting into a workflow. However this quick-stuff seems not to be the right way to go about things. I want more accuracy and in order for that to happen, I think I need to tune it down a notch and maybe its also not the right way to kill my bad habits The Terminology studies I consider a success, maybe because I take more time to work on those and really think about stuff. I did the same with today's Portraits. I started fast and became gradually slower. They are still not as accurate but at least they don't feel that alien to me anymore. I'll change a few things tomorrow. I'll do fewer Gestures and a couple more in depth studies. So here they are. C&C are Welcome as always! :) Cheers Guys

Yay hurai! First week completed. I feel like I'm getting more out of each session now. Although proportion and perspective are still a great issue and some areas of profound uncertainties, at least some of these uncertainties are brought to light now. The "making smaller circles" thing might be starting to kick in also, because I started noticing more subtle changes in the way I work. Gotta keep an eye on that as well. My arm-anatomy practice is paying off as well, although i'm still struggling with some parts of the humerus and how it rotates. I'll just do a quick-study on that tomorrow. Also notice how i put the arm to high and the pectorals & latisimus have to stretch way to far. Is it a bad habit to leave these failures in the illustration and not fix it right away? At least its cool to gain knowledge from these mistakes. Any comments/crits? All are Welcome! Cheers Guys :) on imgur for size

So I'm learning a lot... My gestures didn't feel that strong today but my arm studies were quite interesting and insightful, because i'm starting to see where my bad habits keep holding me back. Tomorrow I'll do these studies but with perspective prepared in advance. Perspective and Proportion I feel like now I know how to tackle it. Ahh and those face 5 mins each. Any Advice/Critiques guys? Always happy and interested in different perspectives & options on how and what to study and especially on what I might be doing wrong! Keep working it guys! Always hungry to improve! Cheers guys
